Practicing mindfulness and gratitude during recovery can be very beneficial and helpful to the healing process. Huffington Post took a look at habits of people who are truly happy, and found that gratitude played a major role in satisfaction, health, and happiness. Expressing gratitude and reminding yourself to be grateful can help you to feel happier and more satisfied. Saying “thank you” to those around you (especially in the workplace) and even being grateful when things aren’t going as well can also help improve overall happiness and optimism. While these efforts may seem small, they can really have a substantial impact upon your overall wellness.
