Though results have been quite controversial in studies around the world, lead researcher Eva Hoch and her colleagues have highlighted the risks that come with both acute and chronic use. Symptoms are dependent upon age, amount of the drug used, and frequency of use, but it is often tied to panic attacks, nausea, and impaired coordination. Also contrary to popular belief, it is possible to become addicted to marijuana over time, and individuals who believe they are addicted or need help should seek professional treatment.
