When you are entering recovery, it may seem overwhelming to not only keep track of your sobriety but also your general health. While focusing on your sobriety and your program will be first priority, maintaining your optimum level of health and wellness is also very important. These easy steps can help you to keep your well being in check while you are working on your recovery.

  1. Get seven to eight hours of sleep per night. Getting enough rest and helping your body to mend will keep your health, energy levels, and mood in check.
  2. Ensure quality of the food you eat. Fuel your body with good sources to cut down on inflammation, improve vitality, and reduce cravings.
  3. Eat every two to three hours to keep your blood sugar levels steady and lower the likelihood of crashing.
